Newtonfirst Recruitment are exclusively recruiting on behalf of our client who are major player in the plant hire and construction industry. Our client is currently seeking an experienced and driven Area Sales Manager, based in central Scotland, a successful candidate will maximise opportunities within the existing client base and generate new opportunities across a range of industry sectors.

The Company:
Our client is one of the UK’s most reputable and respected Plant Hire companies, providing high quality Plant, Tools, Powered Access equipment and much more to the Construction sector on a national scale.

The company have grown into a market leading name through first rate customer service, investing heavily in the latest hi-tech equipment, as well as bringing on board experienced and professionally trained engineers, management and sales staff.

The Role:
Reporting to the Sales Director, you will be tasked with developing new business and managing existing major accounts across your own territory.

You will be responsible for driving revenue/profit within your territory, regularly meeting KPI’s, generating and chasing all of your own leads along with managing your own diary and appointments.

The Ideal Candidate:
A flexible approach, able to multi-task when required, have a strong technical aptitude to assist when selling products – whilst at all times offering customer-focused, friendly advice and technical support whenever it is required.

Responsibilities of the Area Sales Manager:
To gain a clear understanding of customers business and their requirements.

Arrange presentations, proposals and quotations.

Achieve and exceed allocated sales targets.

Successfully manage your territory to optimize all business opportunities.

Liaise with other members of the sales team.

Requirements of the Area Sales Manager:
Able to demonstrate strong sales background.

A proven track record of working in the Construction, Plant or Agricultural Industries.

PC literate.

Customer focused.

Excellent communication both written and verbal

Be self-motivated and determined to succeed.

Clean Driving Licence
